Opportunities for Young People

2017 Annual Conference Session
June 14 – 17 | Portland, OR

Are you a young person who is passionate about the church and interested in how we connect in ministry beyond the local setting?

Do you know someone who is?

The Annual Conference Session offers two opportunities to young people for involvement in this important meeting in the life of the church. Youth (ages 12-18) and Young Adults (18-30) can apply to be full voting members of the Conference with two youth and two young adults selected per District. Alternatively, youth may also apply to be Pages who directly support the work of the conference; typically, 12 youth are selected for this role. Expenses are covered for the young people chosen for these roles. Please refer to the FAQs below for more information.

If you are a leader in your church, but don’t happen to be a young person yourself, please pass this along to an exceptional young person in your congregation! All applications are due by May 1, 2017. Thanks for your help in getting the word out about this opportunity.

Conference Pages

Pages are youth who are friendly, reliable, and excited about serving others. Pages are a vital (and hard-working) part of the Annual Conference sessions, helping to get information to members exactly when it’s needed. Pages will get to see how Annual Conference works, and worship, learn, and play with youth from all over Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Voting Members (Equalization)

Youth and Young Adult Voting Members are an important part of our Annual Conference Session. As many of our churches age, they help to bring new eyes and a younger perspective to the important connectional work of the church. Are you passionate about the church and in helping to shape our shared ministry together? Please consider applying to be a voting member today!
