With a backdrop of the Columbia River and the arch of the bridge connecting Washington and Oregon, this year’s class of retirees joined past retired clergy from the OR-ID and PNW for the annual Retirement Luncheon.

The time together involved energetic conversation, getting to know clergy neighbors across the River, and enjoying a meal around the tables. Each new retiree was given the opportunity to share a bit about what the future was holding for them. It also provided the opportunity for clergy from each Annual Conference to connect with retirees that one hadn’t seen since last year at this time, or in some cases, clergy friends from years ago. Spouses had also been invited to share in the meal and reminiscing.

Here are some photos courtesy of Greg Nelson, director of communications for the OR-ID Conference:

  • Who is the man between Scott and Tim (in the second row?) You’re missing a name. (My apologies if I should recognize him. It has been a while.)
