During the past few weeks, the congregation celebrated two significant milestones that reflect its deep commitment to nurturing faith and strengthening families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first celebration took place at Seward Park<\/strong>, where members of the congregation gathered to witness the joy of several baptisms. Surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of God’s creation, these baptisms marked new beginnings in Christ and served as a powerful reminder of the Church’s calling to make disciples of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The congregation also gathered for its annual Family Camp at Twinlow Camp and Retreat<\/strong>, where children, youth, and adults experienced a weekend of worship, fellowship, learning, recreation, and spiritual renewal. Family Camp provided a sacred space for strengthening relationships, growing in faith, and building a stronger community rooted in God’s love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These events are more than celebrations\u2014they reflect the ongoing ministry of El Dios Viviente UMC in the Seattle community. The congregation has become a place of welcome, hope, and belonging for Hispanic\/Latinx families, including many immigrants seeking spiritual support, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to serve others. Through its ministry, the church demonstrates that vibrant congregations are built not only through worship on Sundays but also through intentional investments in families, leadership development, and community engagement throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Pacific Northwest Conference is honored to partner with El Dios Viviente UMC in this important ministry.
