We are excited to announce that preparations are underway to provide a pre-recorded worship service for use by United Methodist churches in the Greater Northwest Area on the first Sunday after Easter. The Rev. Meredith Dodd is coordinating the effort in partnership with staff members of the Pacific Northwest Conference (PNW) and the Regional Media Center. Dodd, an elder in the PNW, will also serve as worship leader, with contributors from across the region joining her.

The week’s lectionary text (John 20:19-31, Jesus appears to Thomas) will shape the service and message with testimonials on how Jesus walks through walls to bring peace, forgiveness and healing.

We expect to have materials available for review and download on or around March 26, 2021. They are intended for use on Sunday, April 11, or any Sunday that follows that date. The complete service and individual components – including musical selections, prayers, scripture reading, and message – will be provided for the greatest flexibility.
