By Rev. Cruz Edwin Santos
As we begin Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15, I would like to extend a warm invitation to your church to join us in celebrating this important time of cultural reflection and appreciation.
Hispanic Heritage Month is a wonderful opportunity to honor the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. To assist in this celebration, I am sharing two creeds for your worship services: The Immigrant Creed and The Hispanic Creed. These creeds are designed to be incorporated into your services and can help highlight the significance of this month within your congregation.
In addition to these creeds, I have also included resources from our General Church for Hispanic/Latinx Ministry. The Hispanic/Latinx community has made tremendous, positive contributions across the United States, enriching every state with its vibrant culture, work ethic, and diverse perspectives. This month provides an excellent opportunity to recognize and celebrate these contributions.
