Tyler Rauhauser joins Twinlow Camp as its new director

PNW Camp and Retreat Ministries and the Camping Board of Stewards are excited to announce Tyler Rauhauser’s hiring as the new director of Twinlow Camp and Retreat Center in Rathdrum, Idaho. Rauhauser and his wife Kathryn come to the Pacific Northwest and Twinlow Camp from the Susquehanna Conference in Pennsylvania. He will begin as Twinlow Director on November 1st.

“Kathryn and I are excited to join the Twinlow Camp & Retreat Center family!  We cannot wait to settle in at Twinlow and get to know the community,” wrote Rauhauser.

“I look forward to bringing my experience as a camper, volunteer, dean, and member of the Susquehanna Conference Camp & Retreat Board to Twinlow.”

Rauhauser will replace Kristen “Moonie” Moon as director. She will leave Twinlow Camp after 11 years. Before her time at Twinlow, Moon served three years on the staff of Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center in Ellensburg, Washington.

“During my time at Twinlow, I had the privilege of hiring, training, and working alongside 118 incredible Summer Staff. I’ve led programs, managed the camp store, and hosted campfires for over 3,500 campers,” wrote Moon on Facebook. “I leave Twinlow filled with love and best wishes for the future of this ministry.”

Alan Rogstad,Executive Director of PNW Camp & Retreat Ministries, offered deep gratitude for Kristen’s ministry, “Even as we anticipate Tyler’s arrival, we also celebrate bid farewell to Kristen Moon and husband Trevin. We are so grateful for the years she has poured her gifts and hard work into Twinlow and wish her only the best.”

In addition to his volunteer experience in camping, Rauhauser served as a staff member for multiple sites and as a local pastor in The United Methodist Church for more than five years.

“We are very excited to be coming to North Idaho and sharing my experience while learning from and growing with the Twinlow Camp & Retreat community.”


Twinlow Camp and Retreat Center is a camp and retreat center in northern Idaho near Rathdrum. The camp, set in a beautiful, natural environment by the shores of Lower Twin Lakes, offers a variety of programs, including summer camps for kids, retreats for adults, and group events.

Twinlow is one of four United Methodist Camps in the Pacific Northwest Conference.
