“Lay Servant Ministries: Living Our United Methodist Beliefs” will start April 13 and run through May 11 for anyone interested in participating from the Greater Northwest Area.

The class will be taught by Rev. Dr. Scott Allen of Kuna UMC in Idaho and Oregon-Idaho Conference Sage District LSM Coordinator Carole Sullivan. The four-week course will be held via Zoom every Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost of participation is simply the purchase of the book “The United Methodist Way, Living Our Beliefs” by Kenneth L. Carder. It can be ordered from Cokesbury or Amazon ahead of time.

Living Our Beliefs offers a basic explanation of the beliefs and practices of The United Methodist Church as defined in Part II of The Book of Discipline. Readers will uncover a deeper understanding and experience of Christian faith as they live The United Methodist way. This is an Advanced LSM course.

The deadline to register is April 6. Contact robbinaka@yahoo.com, or call or text Pam at 503-819-6145. Provide your name, address, phone number and local church setting.
