Prayers of Lament – 2020 PNW Clergy Session

During the 2020 Pacific Northwest Conference Clergy Session held June 10th on Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Revs. Terri Stewart, Ruth Marston-Bihl, and Troy Carr offered prayers of lament to open the gathering. The prayers lamented the terrible impact of the Coronavirus, a longing for the full-inclusion of LGBTQ-persons in The United Methodist Church, and the “weight of the knee” of systemic, pervasive racism against black persons in the United States.
