Definitions

New project (including Multiplication) — A new expression of Wesleyan theology designed to result in a worshipping community, or a new campus in a multisite project, led by an identified planter/innovator.

Vitality project — An existing church where intentional interventions (new planter/innovator; new commitments; new community engagements) are designed to foster new relationships among neighbors and community partners resulting in new life.

Hub — A limited number of new or vitality projects where high investment – dollars and personnel – are expected to produce robust learnings to foster creativity and increase leadership capacity throughout the GNW Area. Leaders will be from within and outside of the United Methodist family to glean learnings from both. The HUBs will be centers of discernment, training, and multiplication for lay and clergy leaders who are attempting to pivot to new expressions of Methodism appropriate to their context.
